The Making of Amber’s Halfway Home: Voicemails

In Amber’s Halfway Home, Farnival Films rode with Amber Reynolds for one day in November. She rescued nineteen dogs on that day. As if that isn’t enough, during the ten hours we rode in her cargo van, she fielded call after call from people needing help with dogs (and puppies!!) who nobody wanted.

Hours and hours of footage never gets released in any production as big as a documentary. In fact, 90% gets cut. For example, Amber shared about seventy voicemails with us, and we might use three to five in the film. The rest will never be heard. That bothers me. It bothers me enough that we decided to do something about it.

So, Farnival Films produced this little tease for y’all. And we’re planning on doing that all year. Every once in a while, we’ll release short vignettes with footage or audio that won’t make the film but deserve a platform. So stay tuned.

Sidenote: I apologize to my loyal readers. I released this tease on social media first. From now on, it will debut right here on The Farnival.

AMBER’S HALFWAY HOME: Featuring Miller

Grab some popcorn people! So excited to announce Farnival Films has been working on a documentary about a woman named Amber Reynolds and her non-profit, the Halfway Home Animal Rescue in Greenfield, TN. Amber is a total badass. An animal-rescue warrior who saved 2,000 dogs in 10 months. This is just a tease of what’s to come later this year.

And by the way Miller is still at Amber’s Halfway Home waiting for a foster and or a home. If interested contact me.

Pearl aka Queen P Update

I swore I wouldn’t let foster dogs sleep in our bed this time around. I swore it up and down and backwards and forwards. And for two solid weeks, I stuck to that plan.

Catching Dawn

Y’all…my first interview about Catching Dawn. I was so nervous but Kaila Burns-Heffner was so good she even made me feel comfortable. I’m forever grateful.

What would you do to save a life?

Night delivers a litter of eight puppies in a poor neighborhood in Springfield, Tennessee the week before Melissa Armstrong meets her. As a volunteer for a local nonprofit, Melissa has experience with strays and plans to rescue Night and her litter within days. But nothing goes as planned…
