Dogs and Daylight Savings Time
Mason and are are in Las Vegas, but every once in a while my dog sitters, Kaye and Lino, send me a note about our pack that makes me giggle. This morning Kaye’s message was so funny that I had to share:
“Like all humans, I don’t want to accept blame. However, I quietly admit to being at fault. After all, dogs can’t read and have no interest in watching the news. They have their own internal clocks. I failed to mention Daylight Savings Time before we went to bed. I forgot to explain the luxurious pleasure of napping an extra hour. So, at 5 AM, Ade was standing on my chest, and at least four of the dogs were licking my face, telling me to rise and shine. I did rise and managed a weak smile, but I don’t shine until I see daylight. It’s a frosty morn at the Farnival and the girls are rearing to play!”
